Axis Executive is a boutique, founder-led financial advisory firm serving nonprofits, higher education institutions, health care, faith-based organizations, and mission-driven companies nationwide. Axis Executive was built in response to what we’ve seen firsthand: mission-driven organizations that need experienced financial leadership but cannot justify a full-time CFO or COO and accounting functions that are under-resourced, inconsistent, or simply falling through the cracks. Our firm exists to solve both problems with the same high-touch, founder-led approach.

 

We provide fractional CFO and COO leadership and full-service accounting and finance outsourcing, all delivered with white-glove service and a people-first approach. Sai Pathi is an experienced finance and operations executive with a career built around helping organizations navigate complexity, transition, and growth with clarity and discipline. He has worked extensively with boards, presidents, and senior leadership teams in both for-profit and nonprofit environments. His work spans sectors including renewable energy, higher education, and K–12 education. Throughout this work, he has earned a reputation for sound judgment, steady leadership, and a deeply people-centered approach to leadership and decision-making.

 

Throughout his career, Sai has seen how leadership decisions can either strengthen or erode culture, outcomes, and trust. Today, Sai leads Axis Executive’s fractional CFO and COO engagements and oversees the firm’s accounting and finance outsourcing practice. He works directly with nonprofit boards, executive directors, and senior leadership teams to bring financial clarity, operational discipline, and strategic support giving organizations the benefit of a seasoned executive without the cost of a full-time hire. Clients value his ability to listen carefully, ask the right questions, and guide conversations that lead to durable, mission-aligned outcomes.

 

Outside of work, Sai prioritizes time with his family and an active, disciplined lifestyle. He is a certified pilot who flies frequently, drawn to the preparation, accountability, and perspective aviation demands. Whether in the cockpit or advising leaders, Sai brings the same focus, care, and commitment to doing things the right way.
